The Pennsylvania Department of Revenue is on track to finish an almost-five-year software modernization effort on schedule—despite implementing during a global pandemic. Choosing Fast Enterprises, with a proven record of on-time and on-budget software implementations, was one of the key components to the success of the department’s digital transformation. Fast Enterprises’ software implementation merges more than 12 legacy systems into a single system that offers increased efficiency, flexibility, and expanded taxpayer self-service options.

After an intensive 36-month effort, the New Hampshire Department of Revenue Administration (NHDRA) in partnership with Fast Enterprises has successfully completed the modernization of its information system on-time and on-budget.

New Zealand business groups are labelling one of the public sector’s biggest-ever software projects a huge success. The new system built by US company Fast Enterprises is staged to be completed on time and below budget and figures suggest it’s already close to paying for itself.

Last summer, the city of Portland, Oregon, launched a new tax system developed by Fast Enterprises (FAST). Now two of Portland’s neighboring jurisdictions, Oregon Metro and Multnomah County, are partnering with the city to administer their own taxes using this same system.

The Finnish Tax Administration’s VALMIS program, made possible by software from Fast Enterprises, was awarded the Silver Medal, naming it the second best project in the world by the International Project Management Association (IPMA) Global Project Excellence Awards. As part of the process, IPMA based their assessment on project objectives, results, and other aspects as well as interviews with project members. Nearly seven years ago, New Zealand’s Inland Revenue (IR) agency began its partnership with Fast Enterprises to implement a “total makeover” and replacement of the nation’s entire tax system. The IR Transformation Programme is entering its final year, and Greg James—a deputy director who manages the project—is confident that it will be completed on time and below budget. The project not only replaces the software used by IR, but it is also transforming many business processes, including legislation and organizational design.
